About Mavik
Mavik makes hand–tufted wool rugs and entry mats for people whose favourite room in the house has a car in it — or wishes it did. Apex kerbs, livery stripes, grid lights, silhouettes and the shapes you recognise from a corner-worn poster: we put car culture on the floor, where it gets walked on, parked on, wrenched on and lived on.
It started from a simple gap. There is plenty of motorsport art for walls and almost nothing honest for floors. Garages get rubber. Game rooms get whatever was on sale. Entryways get a bristly brown rectangle. None of that says anything about the person who chose it. A rug does — so we made rugs worth choosing. Shop all if you would rather look than read.
Why tufted, and why motorsport
Tufting is the right technique for this kind of graphic. Each strand of yarn is punched through a backing by hand, one pass at a time, which means the design is built from the pile itself rather than printed onto a flat surface. Colour goes all the way into the fibre. A hard-edged racing stripe stays hard-edged. A helmet visor keeps its highlight. And because the artwork is made of yarn instead of ink, it does not crack, peel or fade off the top the way a printed mat does after a season of boots.
It also feels like something. A tufted wool pile has depth and give underfoot — the plush, slightly springy surface you notice barefoot at 7am or kneeling next to a jack stand. Run a hand across one and the pile shifts direction and changes tone, which is exactly what makes a tufted piece look alive on a floor instead of flat like a decal.
The graphics are the other half. We design around the details enthusiasts actually argue about: proportions, stance, the right shade of a famous livery, the shape of a circuit map, the typography on a gauge face. If the reference is wrong, the rug is wrong, no matter how nicely it is made.
What we make
- Tufted wool rugs — from USD 47.95. Five sizes, 80×50 cm at USD 47.95 up to 366×271 cm at USD 177.95, each in six colourways. The statement piece. Sized for the middle of a room: under a coffee table in a game room, beside a workbench, at the foot of a bed, in front of a tool chest or a sim rig.
- Tufted entry mats — from USD 15.98. Five sizes, up to 80×150 cm at USD 55.98. The same hand-tufted construction in a smaller footprint, for doorways, hallways, in front of the garage step, beside a bathroom sink or anywhere a full rug would be too much.
The size range covers most real rooms. Pick the rug when you want the floor to be the thing people look at; pick the mat when you want a smaller hit of the same personality in a spot that gets stepped on all day. Plenty of people run both — the mat at the door, the rug where they sit.

How we price
A rug starts at USD 47.95 and a mat at USD 15.98, with the larger sizes priced up from there and every size listed on its product page. Those are the prices — not a fake discount off an invented list price, and not a number that quietly doubles at checkout. All prices on the store are in USD.
We would rather be the brand you buy from twice than the one that squeezes one order out of you. That means saying plainly what a product is, showing it honestly, and letting the price stand on its own.
Getting it to you
We ship worldwide. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days, and delivery takes 7–25 business days depending on your region. Tracking is provided so you are not left guessing where a parcel is. We are deliberately clear about the timeline instead of promising two-day delivery we cannot keep. A hand-tufted rug is worth a short wait; being lied to about the wait is not.
If it is not right
You get 30 days to return an order, and customers in the EU also have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal — that right sits alongside our own policy and is never replaced by it. The process, conditions and refund timing are set out in the Refund & Returns Policy.
Buying a rug online means judging colour and scale from a screen. We would rather you order the one you actually want and send it back if it misses, than talk yourself out of it at checkout.
